DEVELOPMENT OF REAL-TIME AUTOMATIC WEATHER SYSTEM FOR MET3A/MET4A METEOROLOGICAL SENSORS

Wayan Suparta, Lai Khuan Leng

ABSTRACT: A system that can be used to monitor and saving the pressure, temperature and relative humidity acquired by broadband meteorological sensors (MET3A/MET4A) has been developed using a Visual Basic in 2009 at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). The system has been tested time to time that capable operated in all Windows based platform. This user friendly system is developed to resolve the problem in the Digiquartz®Interactive (DQI) software from Paroscientific, Inc. that have a limitation in displaying the third parameters above simultaneously. The system has also an advantage to upload the data into a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) and maintaining the time series when the sensor or electricity trouble in a certain period.
